on guitar hero 1? I know you should be able to, but just curious
picked up GH2 yesterday during lunch after playing it at bestbuy and thinking bout looking for the 1st one also
I'm not 100% positive, but I'd say "more than likely". You can use the GH1 guitar on GH2, so I couldnt see why not.
Should I get Guitar Hero?

its deffinately alot of fun
it looked corny but playing at the store made me realize its alot more to it then just acting like you're playing a guitar.. youve gotta have alot of coordination
I like DJ Max better myself ^___^

I have never, ever liked rythm games, to me it seems like none of the cues actually matched the beats 100% of the time, half of the games I have played the cues seemed kind of random with no correlation to the song, so if I try going by the song I screw up, if I try to follow only the onscreen cues, I am always a splitsecond early or late, do I lack rythm? maybe, but I really do not care about these kind of games

Yes, you lack rythm. :P
I've only played one rythm game (Elite Beat Agents for the DS) and the beats are dead on. If you don't play to the music, you'll die in a heartbeat.

That is what I am saying, half the games I have played the cues do not match the beat, they start out matching, then suddenly seem to go random

Yes! It's one of the best games I've ever played ever. Both the original and the sequel. You may want to start with the original though, as they tuned the mechanics a little for the second version. If you get used to how GH2 plays and go back to GH1, it'll be extremely difficult.
The Xbox360 version is coming out soon (within two months I think). It'll have some downloadable content to make things interesting. Comes with a WIRED guitar though, which is all kinds of lame. As I mentioned in another thread - I'm DONE with wires. They're so last gen. :P

Wireless controllers still have a bit of a delay. That delay might kill music games, which would explain the wired guitar.

There are third party wireless guitar controllers for the PS2 and everyone seems to love 'em.

well they probably hit the notes too early and sucked with wired controllers.
