Hell, can't beat that, unless you gotta let him use it too :D

Seems kind of on this high side, but I don't know squat on laptop pricing so meh. Long as you think it was worht it then you got a good deal.

Looks good, the laptop you got that is...

A little over a year ago, I got my dad a Dell XPS M140 (low-end gaming laptop), came with a Pentium M 1.73ghz, 512mb of RAM, integrated Intel graphics, 60gb hard drive, and an 8x DVD burner. The integrated graphics chip isn't too shabby, it won't play any new games, but it will handle older games very nicely, including both Max Payne games, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and even Condemned: Criminal Origins.

All together, it was a little over $700 (I get discounts and free shipping from Dell since I work at UPS, who ships for them), but it came with a free printer. :)

I'm looking at getting a new one soon. I like to get mine from Ibuypower generally. But... that is a pretty sweet deal. How heavy is that sucker?

I am getting one myself very soon as well, but not that high end. Never could justify a "performance notebook"
