That wasn't the point. The "hydra" one would get moved anyway because posts that flame an individual always get moved. The three movie threads got moved to the cooler where they belong. Nothing "abnormal" happened.

actually, he doesn't move enough. 3dfx refugees is basically the Hardware discussion forum on SC. A few weeks back he posted a notice that all OT threads would be moved to the appropriate forum.

ya but i hate it when they get moved......cause some of the posts here are about people that only visit here or about somet hings that people that only visit here like (i know i only visit 3dfx refugees regularly)....now some stuff i know should get moved

First off, I am pretty sure it is all doing of the evil chimp general. Second, I started writing a reply when a thread was in refugees but by the time I posted the thread was in Watercooler, scary stuff.

I have no idea who moved the hydra thread, but slacker is not alone on these boards. There are moderators too ya know, I'm just positive about two of them as of who they are. No idea how many they are or who the rest of them is. But then again I don't care either.

It has been said that we shouldn't write threads that address or point to a certain individual.

I know there are other cases where threads should have been moved too, but extreme censorship isn't always a good thing too. Just a few basic rules to not cross certain lines are enough IMO. Otherwise we'd constantly choke on moderation interferance.

I don't like boards that are too strictly run by the way ;)

Perhaps, but what else am I to do? I have pretty much given up on refugees for numerous reasons. Today, I was in the middle of writing 3 rather long posts, when I though "Why the hell do I even bother?" and clicked cancel. There is nothing new to argue about and I am tired of arguing the same old stuff again. I guess I'll just go back to being and idiot in offtopic for now.

Grim, new material is just around the corner. Some killer games are coming out and I think the next round of cards will have some goodies in them... and maybe a new player (man, I hope). It's just a slow time....

I can't comment on that extensively without revealing the context of private conversations. I've given you an alternative for that and Egon already posts valuable stuff at times there ;)
