We have been quiet about these chips but now we're not being.
Bullshit. It's just a copy/paste job from the hundreds of rumours that keep floating around the net......

It was full of conjecture, hypothesis and generalizations. Any half-witted idiot could have thrown that piece of shit together. LOL :)

wtf is this:
The last thing is the launch date – "a nice lady from the parking lot " said that company will launch the product in the first week of February and we may add that it should take place on February the 5th but I should warn you that this timing may be changed at the last minute.
:D

What I do is just keep an open mind because you don't know what they know.... and could be many possibilities.
All I do is remember what articles/posters/anything say in the past and when the time comes when the information is offered..... well, this is when you find out how off or on they truly are and when they say or offer something again....well, credibility is earned over time -- not in an article/post or two. The ones that have earned credibility[to me] I listen to very, very close.
And credibility is tanished quick by one BS statement -- the key is to remember what people write and hold them accountable for what they say and why I loathe spinning of any kind to get out of something that was said in the past.

ATI WILL TAKE Nvidia on big time by introducing an R300 that will have DirectX 9 support.
The card is an NV25 killer while ATI's lower market model the RV 250 which many assumed to be an NV17 killer now has large speed advantages over Nvidia's offering.
While clock speeds are still under wraps, the RV250 will be spawned from the R200, currently branded as the Radeon 8500.
Whle Nvidia is readying its cards for launch in the next fortnight or so, as revealed on Friday, it is still to finish its work to take advantage of DirectX 9.
Samples of the R300 will go to ATI partners in the next two weeks and R&D teams are preparing their card designs.
ATI is positioning SnoBIT 2002 at Hangover, Germany, as the venue for some big introductions including the R300, the INQUIRER learns.
The R300 is being developed by the ArtX team and we can expect a design and price performance much more competitive than NV25.
Nvidia finds itself between the horns of a dilemma because our source claimed that Nvidia will have some problems following up the current graphic offerings swaddled in NDAs, but which we've told you about.
The ATI R300 will be faster and cheaper than NV25, also known as GeForce 4.
R200 is the platform ATI is using for DirectX 9 but it's still unclear how it will be implemented. µ
* NVIDIA HAS ACCUSED the INQ of being too soft with ATI - implying, of course, we're too hard with the Great Satan of Graphics Chips.
Rubbish. We treat both the same - with courtesy and deference and of course never publish anything that hasn't been prepackaged in a press release and quality tested by the senior marchitects in the marchitecture department.
As with anything grain-of-salt.
We have been quiet about these chips but now we're not being.
I tell you what... that is one fine piece of writtin right there. YEEHAW!!!!
w00t!

Pauly,
Nothing new in that one either exept maybe that someone might get a "hangover" from the misspellings:

It's Hannover if they shouldn't mind....sheeeesh :D

Who needs faster cards now? I am still enjoying that GF3-fast KyroII Ultra Inquirer announced in August.

I dare the "journalists" of the Inquirer -since they love to claim to have so much inside informations- to come out with some upcoming KYRO offerings specs. I doubt I see them before any pissat site will have them in full display.

By the way Grimster,
If you aren't scared of good ole AiL you may join me in the IRC tech channel of the board :D

Hehehe, True, it was nasty but what can you do? :)
I am interested in the R-300 but not 'till the end of the year obviously or even early next year....... when the price drops and drivers are mature. But, I am really interested in the nV-30 as well.
On a side note:
I watched some DVD movies.... last night and they did not have the compression errors and looked nice. Finally... that was the latest Beta's.
One movie was real good:
"Enemy of the Gates"
About a sniper that defended Stalingrad in WW2. Solid frigg'n movie and surprised me.

Unfortunatly the popularity of something such as the Drudge Report shows that credibility and accountability are no longer pertinent issues in todays Internet world.
