There is finally one that is catching my eye... I might have to play Star Wars: The Old Republic. (Though I hate MMOs)

Yeah EVE... I'd always wanted to buy gametime using the game's currency, and I finally did that.

There's these things you can buy in-game called PLEX's (Pilot's License Extension) off the market using the in-game currency that adds 30 days of gametime to your account. They are very expensive in-game, but a week of solid mission-running (level 4 quality 18 missions) in a Megathron, Raven, or Apocalypse for a few hours a day is all it takes. :)

So, you can pretty much play for free... And since expansions are free, that means the game pays for itself.

You'd think the devs would lose money by having this kind of system set up, but PLEX's can be purchased off the game's website and then re-sold ingame for ISK (the game's virtual currency). Having this kind of thing set up actually cuts down on those web sites that sell the game's currency for real money illegally.
