The preview looked ok until that friggin run-up-the-wall-and-jump-off-slo-motion-roundhouse-kick-the-flying-doberman part. Almost choked on the cheese.

I think Milla jovavich was a bad choice of the main character. The should have gotten somebody like Rachael Leigh Cook or Estella Warren to do that stuff :)

i didnt even know there was going to be a movie about it!

i played very little, i really dont like those games, i just hope 2 things:

1- if its good, i hope i can understand it anyway (even not having played it...)

2- and mostly i just hope it doesnt suck like every other game movie.... :(

Yeah, but like I jes said to my wife....say heather graham was the lead. Would you be more into the story? Or would you be waiting for the first scene she gets nekkid in? Havin a chik you dont wanna see drop trough in the first place is an excellent choice.

i watch em for the story just the same. I just like the extra eye candy. Such as the movie "At First Sight". It has a great lookin chick (Mira Sorvino) but it's also got a great story and great acting.

Mariano, do you use Quicktime? I recommend it. A lot of people hate it, but it's the only player that works flawless in IE for me. If you wait till the movie is streamed completely (just pause it and wait till the progress bar is filled), you can play it like a normal movie afterwards (so it shouldn't stutter anymore)...

i saw the daily show interview with Milla Jovavich talkin bout the movie. Unfortunately she didn't say anything you cant already tell about the movie from teh trailers. Basically it's about a team of guys going into the facility to find out what went wrong and stuff goes wrong, including roundhouse dog kicking. From the previews we can see that they will have those tongue lickin' monsters from RE2 (some of my fav monsters). I hope they have lots of Hunters in the movie since those are the best monster in RE. And i'm sure they'll have some sort of tyrant like in teh games as well :)

Anyway, THE movie is awesome. Much more gory than I'd expect a video game movie to be. THE girl is hot and perfect for the role, they throw a bit of Nemisis in at the end, and it seems to be a little rushed. But THE action is well paced throughout THE movie. At THE end you kind of wonder why they go into the facility in THE first place.

All in all one of THE best horror flicks I've seen in a long time.

btw......not to spoil but jes to prove a point. How would I know that the phony cop, who was in handcuffs way too long IMO, had a sister workin for umbrella? Who mind you, had a contact that was gonna help her steal the virus. Hmmmm? Hmmmm?

For a game that let you use a rocket launcher to gib zombies at close range, 2 scenes of gore hardly makes it a gory movie. You could most likely be an over sensitive :knob:

That's just it, there hasn't been any. Tomb Raider had a small body count, but nothing graphic. Mortal Kombat...some dude broke into little pieces of ice, it could have been RE violent but it wasn't. I can't think of an R rated video game movie until RE came out, and I was shocked.

Sure there are gory horror movies out there that might put this one to shame, but I don't think that anyone really expected to see decapitations and bloodbath. I'm not complaining, but it was unexpected.

Well, I was expectin a gib fest. I was pleasantly surprised that it made me jump more than turn my head in disgust. I took my 8yr old an was prepared to have to leave if it got too bad. But it never did. I only covered her eyes for the elevator scene, which was a cutaway, an the grated cheese scene, which had almost no blood whatsoever. Even the guy that lost the fingers didnt bleed. If it had of been a john carpenter movie, you would have saw a geyser.

Anyway, I loved it. I cant wait for the next one. She's in raccoon city now.:evil:

btw.....TR didnt have any bloody battles that I can remember. Jes a whole lotta killin. The game I mean. I walked out halfway thru the cinematic turd so I dont know too much about it.

MK didnt see or play the game. I was into virtua fighter an boxing games back then. Side scrolling fighting games never did much for me.

Nothing bled because the wounds were cauterized by the laser. If they had shown it, the bodies would have been lumps of steaming mass, but no fluids. You gotta wonder what would happen if a person were to die like that. When would reality end?

It was nice that the girl was semi nude for a few scenes in the movie. Whoot!
