Codenamed "Valhalla", (not to be mistaken with 7.3 beta "Skipjack").
Goodies:
kernel-2.4.18-3 (finally an official 2.4.18)
KDE 3.0 (some people say it looks like WinXP)
Gnome 1.4 (it should have some enhancements from RH 7.2)
Check it out here:
www.redhat.com
I already downloaded the new kernel (the latest from rawhide is 2.4.18-0.26) and I'm about to see if I can make it work with my current setup.
As for the 3 whole CDs I'm downloading them NOW!

Heads up!
There seems to be a major change in the new kernel since my "make" libraries were unable to install the nvidia kernel driver.
The setup says it can't find two "aio" files. Instead, I found two "airo" files, so I duplicated and renamed them. But some other files were missing and I decided to stop.
Some guy at nVnews said he got his GF2 working under RH 7.3 with tarball installation, so I guess the only suspect left is my "make" version.
Any thoughts?
Merlin?

I'd just use the source RPMs(or source tarballs), and build them as per there instructions for other distros besides rhat.
I don't have an nVidia card, so I can't be much mroe help. :(
nVidia will probably update the driver page in a day or to, so with a bit patience, you'll be able to upgrade painlessly to Rhat 7.3

I've tried Mandrake 8.1 and that didn't fly I'm gonna DL 8.2 for a spin. Slackware 8.0 didn't like my system either........ Things that I have to do just to make Quake 3 work

Just a note about my "experiment"
I tried to upgrade to 7.3 just by upgrading the kernel. That worked. But I couldn't "make" the nvidia drivers. Lots of failed dependencies (NO, NO, NO... I DID NOT forget to install the kernel-source).
Nevertheless, some guys made a full install of 7.3 and never had a problem. This is way out of my reach. So either I'll try to install from source rpms or move definitely to 7.3
