Well, it looks like we need a trading thread. I've sold or traded away stuff that I probably shouldn't have so I thought it would be best to keep the swapping within the family... so to speak. So... Post what realm your on, what you need, what you have to trade (or show off), and anything else applicable to D2 trading. Hey, even post a "wish list". I've (embarrassed) sold some stuff that other people had on their wish list and now I wish I hadn't.

This goes for uniques, runes, or just great magical stuff or anything else you find.... Hopefully this can be productive for all of us. No dupes or I will pee in your coffee!

I have a few bits of Trang-Oul's, Tal Rasha's, need Sander's Paragon for full set, Orphan's call, Natalya's Odium (boots and helmet (see me Noot)), helmet belt of Immortal Kings, Heaven's Bretheren armor and mace, ... and find duplicates all the time. I'm looking specifically for Sander's Paragon.

Runes-

Looking for Lionheart. Have all runes in duplicate up to Dol (except Shael which I just used) and a Pul (+30% def for a socketed armor)


I have a lot to trade so let me know what you need. I don't have a complete list but I do have my account characters full. I have stuff like Ali Baba's with Amn/Tir (mf based on chr lvl) and stuff like that. I play mostly zons and necros but am thinking about a barb.

Took the liberty of making some steak runs from work. :O

Not a single socketed elite item. Couple exceptional items, ghost armor and ancient sheild, but no elite stuff. Got a rune that gives 10 to dex tho (can't remember name, Ko ?)

Damnit, I'll start a new character AFTER I make an elite Rhyme sheild. :)

Ko's a nice rune. You can make "Melody", a nice bow, with Shael, Ko, and Nef. Find a good Cruel Matriarchal bow and make Melody and you'll have a pretty powerful and valuable item :) It also makes "Wealth", a 100% mf armor.

Whoops.. my bad. I was thinking about something else for Cruel. Your right (I think). I think there something you can do with chipped gems for a Cruel bow though. Matriarchal bows you can socket if they aren't blue. EG had one and I thought about grabbing it but the game closed and thus disappeared. It was a +2 Zon skills with a white title... never seen that before. I thought about embue too. Boy did I fux up my embue in this character. Next time I'm gonna wait until the end of act V and get some of that good stuff.

I've been investigating the perfect shield to use with my martial arts assassin and this appears to be it. Supposedly this beast is horribly common, but I have yet to see one.

I have.....stuff, LOL. Nothing outrageously exciting but something that may just fill a need. Who knows...try me :D

Yeah.. little more specific (not to be pokey)... I see a lot of three socketed swords. What lvl char? I can pick one up in HM but maybe couldn't use it. Are you going to rune word it? I could also get you a four socket (e.g.).

I also think that characters find stuff for other character classes besides their own. I find tons of non-zon stuff. I just give it away hoping some day the favor will be returned, rotf :D I have tons of stuff on mules too... and am willing to part with a sword or two so just let me know some specifics an I'll hook ya up :)

Which reminds me! (meant to mention this during a convo earlier) Stop me when this sounds familiar...;)

I have a +2 bow skills ceremonial bow.....with a white item title ;) :D I think it will fit the bill for a socket quest / cross fingers for melody eligible experiemnt. If you're interested :)

BTW, I have read the formula to determine number of sockets that larzuk adds to an item. It was driven from Item level and Char level, cant remember what exactly though. I think it was at diabloii.net ....

Mono...I've been thinking. Isn't there a cheap cube recipie to add sockets to swords? Three chipped and a magic sword (I think) and you're guaranteed a three socket sword of the same type. I don't know what your intentions are...a magic item I don't think supports rune words, I'd have to check up. Just something to consider.

I can lend you out the Artic Gear set Crusty. It's perfect for a starter Zon. PD sported it all the way to Act4 if I remember right, but it wont really be that great beyond that.

Finding a three socket, one handed, exc/elite sword is proving to be a real pain in the arse. If some one has found one for you Mono, please let me know so I can stop looking. I found the exc claymore yesterday with three sockets (which will ultimately function one handed) but ditched it.... Gah....

My latest request if anyone could be so kind is a simple "Fal" rune. If anyone has one of these little buggers, I would be most grateful.

That would be just...splendid :D I somehow managed to scruffle up the runes for lionheart again except Fal. I nearly soiled myself when I saw Lum again, that's the hot ticket out of the three needed. Going to try and make one to last until lv 73 (when I don Natalya Soul ;) )

My supply of stuff has dwindled. I am no longer the "Gibb" :( I checked my cache of stuff yesterday and my hoarding of goods such as gems is really sad. I have 3 perfect skulls, 5 perfect topaz (which you/PD gave me), a perfect amethist, and that's about it. Time to start collecting and cubing gems again. I need a perfect Diamond (or Um rune) to socket in my shield for resists.

Runes I have but not many of the higher level... and as for uniques 90% are on loan and the rest are for low lvl chars (under lvl 30). I'm still kicking myself in the gniods each night for trading away a few key items. I'm gonna mf a bit in the next few days and maybe trade for them back. I need to get my Gibbness back, lol.

On the other hand I don't really care much. I suspect that the 1.10 patch will be out within the next couple of months and we'll all have to start over anyway.

LOL, I won't mind if we did, but I'm not sure it comes to that. The way I understand it is the economy is only reset for the new ladder charactars. The old economy will remain in tact just the way it is.

This new ladder economy will be kind of like hardcore in that a charactar cannot exist in both. You are either ladder or not. Frankly I've never placed importance on ladders so I'm not sure if I'll care. It would be kind of cool to start fresh with the rest of the world though in a new economy. Especially if they have a dupe combatting scheme in place that actually works.

I really don't understand the hardcore or ladder stuff. The economy will really change though for the mainstream. I doubt soj will mean anything anymore. [An "IMHO"] On the other hand Blizzard has nothing to do with the economy generally speaking but can influence it. They can't dictate the currency for trade or value of items. All that is left to the perception of the users. Whatever the next "dollar" will be will likely depend on the value of the new uniques they add. I don't think soj will even make it to the next patch and I think they've dropped it from dropping currently. I've never heard of anyone getting a soj lately. I think the next "dollar" will be a soj replacement though like a one box storage item like a ring.... but oddly I bet that the currency at first will be your basic perfect gem or whatever. If I were an economics student with an interest in human psychology the release of the 1.10 patch would be wonderfully interesting!

lol, I don't know why you don't use the buritzo more :D I always wanted to ask you that. It does so much more damage than Lycanders. I couldn't have made it though HM without it. Lycanders is a great... awesome.. bow up until HM but once you start hitting phys immunes it's worthless for the way we play (rare immy or cold arrow.. mostly guided, strafe, multi..). I couldn't do bloody runs witout it.

Oh.... another thing I forgot to mention. I really don't want the buritzo back as the one I have now is Shael'ed and stuff. I'd say trade it (worth 1 soj) or do whatever..... but... I traded for mine and I just don't know if it was duped. I found a buritzo the day after I traded for mine and uniques aren't supposed to drop twice..... however I found a staff legit and the other day I was holding a staff in my second slot on my character and it dropped again. So knowing the one I had wasn't duped and knowing that it dropped again makes me feel safer....

Think about it...if a normal charactar cant get into hardcore or ladder games, the items cant get in either. It creates two entirely seperate economies independant of one another. Actually currently there ARE two with normal and hardcore, but 1.10 wil ladd ladder creating a third.

Like I said, the way I understood it was the current normal and hardcore economies would be largely unchanged, save perhaps a new dupe fighting method who knows.

The only thing that will change is if players decided to play ladder. The charactars and items are stuck in "ladder land" sealed off from the existing economy....A whole new world so to speak ;) Compleeling yes, but will it drive people away from there collections to start fresh? Who knows....

At least I've started to fill up my war chest again :D I had been looking for String of Ears for ages and with Gaze, Shaft, and Ears I've got about 65% damage reduction and with the 25 damage reduced ammy should make things interesting as far as my quest Zon goes :)

I hate those little wimps that cant work hard for leveling up they just go in and hack the players. However, for now.... If anyone has a socket quest open and would be willing to let me socket something I'd be most greatful. We could work out a trade for an item or swap socket quests as I'll have one once I finish hell mode with my sorc. I really need to socket my Peasant Crown with a perfect diamond in a bad way. So.. if anyone has that quest reward open let me know and we'll work something out. :)

I got loads of socket rewards for ya........but why would you want to put a diamond in a sorc helmet? Diamonds increase attack rating...not exactly the best choice. Perhaps a skull or saphire?

I've come to the conclusion that I'm just not all that bright! :D I forgot that adding a diamond to a hat isn't for resists. I guess I need to hunt down and Um rune then :/ (next to impossible)...

Ancient's pledge would be a nice way to lift resists. I traded my Ryhme sheild in on an ancient's...lose a little blocking but pick up +2x% resist all.

Well, I threw a perfect diamond on a Lidless ( I know) so a shield is covered and I need the bonuses it offers. I dunno.. I'll see if I can find a 30% resist all charm or something :/ Um runes are only for the 1337 upper crusty D2 players :D

BTW, don't feel sorry for me. My resists are great. I just want to max them out being a sorc with poor armor and equipment sorted with "+skill" mods instead of protect mods...

I did some public cows today and finally saw an Ith bow in action with some Ith armor. The guy was like lvl 50 or something and dropping cows faster than I could run. There was a group of folks that ended up getting in the same game and pretty much just either avoided going where he went or just following him picking stuff up or whatever.

Pretty sick. He had a lionheart with a bunch of IAS stuff and one of those Cruel Matriarchal Ith bows. Talk about overpowered. I thought Buriza could knock down cows with multishot... well... he'd volley off 4-5 shots with his ~150 IAS and clean out a hurd.

Anyway, I learned what Ith is tonight. If you don't know you unsocket an item (like Lionheart) but keep the mods. Then resocket it with something else like 40/15 jewels. Pretty amazing to watch but really takes the fun out and is obviously way too overpowered. Why they call it "Ith" I dunno.. prolly something to do with how they cheat.

Ith weapons suck. While Buriza is second to Windforce in power, you would expect it to drop cows, unfortunately, this doesn't happen.

However, with the proper equipment, auras, etc, you can achieve supa-fly ballista action! I've only done this a couple of times, but maybe we can do it often in the SC games.

The ballista is a super-slow weapon. You will need a lot of IAS gear, but even then, it's still slow. What needs to happen is to get enough IAS gear to reach the next speed 'breakpoint,' which is very hard to do. If you can reach this, ballista performance is much, much better.

To do this much easier, you need a pally with fanatacism (I happen to have one that has max fanat. and needs leveling up). Throw in a might mercenary, another pally with conviction (for the buriza cold damage), a necro with amp damage, a druid with heart of the wolverine, and you'll deal some serious damage, seriously fast!

BTW, I was looking at some of my stuff from my revived chars, and noticed that my Herald of Zakarum pally shield had a defense of 1414. I looked on the blizzard web site, and the max is 507! There is only a P. Diamond in it.

I also found another pally shield with something like 700+ defense (and +1 skills)!

What's up with this? They are all legit items. Maybe I'll look again...I could have been trippin'

Your right of course but the damage is just amazing. Unfortunately I don't have much IAS equipment and my mf runs have produced PvP equipment so my monster killing has suffered. I've never dueled and will never so it kinda is cool to have all the damage reduction equipment I have but on the other hand it kind of sux, lol.

btw, the only IAS I have is a Shael in the Ballista... pretty sad as far as IAS goes :D

I've noticed how and why the Windforce is so powerful, and technically, it has nothing to do with damage stats. This bow can fire so fast, that it makes up for missing, low damage (in comparison to buriza when char is at lower level), and everything else you can think of. This also holds true for the Eaglehorn.

I have a Goldstrike Arch unique gothic bow, and with the exception of the considerably lower damage than the aforementioned, this bow rocks! Damn it fires fast! Even with the lower damage, with Atma's Scarab or a necro handy along with a might merc, this bow IS quite effective in 8-ppl cow runs. It makes playing a zon even more fun! Going back to the buriza after playing with a bow kind of sucks.

Since I have my mules back, I think I have some 20% IAS +zon skill gloves for you msan.

Anyone have a Baranar's or a Shaefer's I can borrow/trade/have? I wanna see what works best for my pally.

Sorry, don't have Baranar's or a Shaefer's. If you're on I'll take a look at the gloves. I have 20 ias gloves but I have a hard time with adding ias. They usually don't have the other mods I like such as 150% ed for the cows or other mods for PvM.. and use 39% Chance for mf'ing. If I ever find Baranar's or Shaefer's I'll let you know :)

If anyone has an extra Oculus for trade let me know. I have some good stuff for trade, like String of Ears (which I keep finding) + other items but for the life of me can't seem to trade it on bnet to get the 2 soj value of an Occy. It's giving me headaches trying to trade for soj. I tried trading Arreats plus two Ali Babas for 3 soj the other night without even a reply. Same with String :/ Oh well, lol.

Yup :) But remember their are a whole heckuva lot of variety in assassins. I would try pumping claw mastery and phoenix strike primarily. Get 1 point in burst of speed. Awesome skill that will get added to by + skill items later. 1 point in wake of fire will carry you trough most of normal mode alone. A very powerful trap at low levels.

Finishing moves are quite Teh Suxor if you ask me. I picked Dragon Tail to drop a few points in because A.) I knew I would want a shield for hell difficulty (hence no dragon claw) and B.) It pushes enemies back so you don't get surrounded as easily. Still, it's a slower attack and doesn't even do that great of damamge compared to my phoenix strike. Some advocate using simply a normal attack to unleash your charge. I'm beginning to see why.

Of the two shadows, the second one is MUCH better. Shadow warrior only mimics the skills you have equiped. Shadow master however has access to ALL assassin skills, whether you equiped them or not. She doesn't trap very often, but she does cloak of shadows and mind blast all the freakin time, heh. I'm playing in hell mode with a level 10 shadow master, so maxing it is not necessary IMO.

All this gets tossed for a primary trap user. In that case you should max lightning sentry, wake of inferno, drop a point into death sentry, MAX your shadow for a tank, and consider mind blast for crowd control. Trap assassins will have a much MUCH harder time soloing then a martial artist, but can function as a pseudo sorceress for a party.

I might be able to help you out in a bit. I'm currently making a sword barb who is level 52 now. I have some awesome swords i'll be using in a few levels but i can let you borrow whichever one i dont want to use heh. I have a feeling the Honor Colossus blade wont be used so you could borrow that one unless you have better already.

I have a magic Colossus Blade if you wanna use it for the 3 chipped gem cube recipe Msan. I already have a Cruel Colossus blade with 3 sockets so i dont need to do that anymore.

Btw i found some cool guy to give me Arctic furs for free! Its amazing to find some cool people still left in the D2LOD world. I was desperate to get the damn thing so i was offering Tal Rasha belts and Mask, Unique Zweiheinder swords, Tooththrow and other things. Then some guy asked me to make a game then he just gave it to me free.

I might take you up on the Colossus Blade if I see ya on bnet. :) I haven't seen the Furs for a while but that's probably because I've been trying to lvl the barb and moved my mf stuff to him. He can get to meph fast and safe but killing meph takes 5x as long as with my zon.

I finally gave up trying to cow with the barb and went back to the zon until I find a good cow sword. It's relatively useless cowing in an 8 person game with WW without a good sword, lol :/

yeah, there are good and bad folks and every blue moon you find a good one. I'm getting really tired of the bad ones. Go get the leg for cows? Pk'ed.... :/

I've given away Shael, Sol and Amn runes whenever I have extra and people ask for one. No not the, "I NEED FREE STUFF" leachers but decent players (working a game with you) who ask, "Anyone have a shael for trade ?". If nobody pipes in on the trade and I do have an extra, I'll give it to the fella. Builds good karma too 'cause 9 times outta 10 I'll find the same rune or better droppped by some minion in the next game. :D
