View Full Version : 2D signal quality on VGA's measured

Matrox's G550 is on top with a total score of 8.2, with a Hercules AIW 8500DV close second with 7.7.

For those reading german it's a very interesting article about 2D quality and can be read here:

If the results can be taken as reliable, then I can't see price, brand, vendor or manufacturer making any difference here. All tests were carried out in 1280x1024x32@85.

If you don't run your desktop in that or higher resolutions and don't happen to have a high quality monitor, the differences are hard to notice, especially if the Amplitude stays very close to 700mV, without any strong nosedives for the minimum rates.
