His crappy kt400 mobo won't let him play on his 9700pro without a crash. It's stuck in 8xAGP and it won't let him change it.

What mobo would you guys recommend for him?

any nforce2 board, faster than via400 and it has no problem running the radeon9700 on it

Ditto...that's what I'm running. I can recommend the Epox board as the smoothest install of the 3 nforce2 systems I've set up.

you know what... I got this exact same setup and my radeon crashes every 1/2 second.

hmm... Im gonna change this mofo! Maybe itīs not ATIīs fault after all.
