IF I wasn't going to buy the DVD the minute it came out, I MIGHT feel bad. However, I WILL buy it, so I'm just borrowing it early right now. :yb:

Yep...if they are XviD format, and 717mb/709mb, they're the real deal. If not, they're probably not. If you have kazaalite 2.0+, you can check them out to make sure they are the right ones.

70mb to go and I'll be done! :)

Hopefully you are getting the version I got. I just watched it, and the quality is GREAT! This will definitely tide me over until the DVD comes out.
I'm so glad I ran the cable in my wall from my PC to my TV. I love watching my downloads on TV. :)

Did the copy you get freeze in certain spots?

The copy I downloaded, in each half, it freezes in 3 different spots! The audio keeps going, but the video just freezes.

My part 1 froze in two spots but my part 2 is perfect. Getting the first part again and hoping this one'll be OK.

The divx repair trick won't work in this case, I'm afraid. To use an Xvid file in VDub, it has to de-sync the audio. Throws the whole thing off when you try to recompile it again.

Worse yet, the affected frame happens to be a keyframe in my case. Meaning, the twenty-odd frames following it are corrupted as well.

Re-downloading now.

Okay, the one I downloaded, the 2nd half was fine. The first half, I removed about 4 seconds worth of bad frames using nandub.

The first spot where some frames were removed is when Frodo is wrestling Gollum when Gollum is trying to grab the ring. Can't even tell that some frames are removed. The next part, is toward the end of the first half when Grima is talking to Eowyn. It's noticeable, but since it's not a key part of the movie, it doesen't bother me.:)
