I recently purchased an AMD 1g Tbird and Biostar M7MIA mobo (w/ the AMD 761 chipset), and unfortunately the system is extremely unstable (random Fatal Exception OE's and Illegal Ops). I have since replaced the power supply with an AMD recommended powersupply, and am also using AMD recommended memory. I was just wondering if any of you tech savy fools out there have any other ideas. If so lend a brother some tips.

Firstly, you might wanna repost this in the 3dfxrefugees forum. Lots of tech savies there.

What OS ? Installed to fresh formatted HDD ? or did you simply swap out the boards ?

Ok, I'll repost it. But to answer your question, I repartitioned and reformatted, before installing win98.
