Freespace 2

A fan of the Descent series and of the original Freespace I decided to give the 2nd one a try. Don't know why I didn't get around to it until now, but I picked up the GOTY edition for $20 and I'd have to say that it's gotten more of my playing time than Black & White or Tribes 2

It's not super duper high definition graphics, but it takes me back to the Star Wars days...okay, not that far back. Anyway it's a good game, everyone should check it out. Specially if you have some good speakers and subwoof.

I finished the game this afternoon, and I believe that I am going to replay it again. Just to find out what happens when I don't mess up and get all the big ships destroyed.

:) Anyway, the game gets kinda confusing in the end trying to keep track of the different races you are up against, but I personally feel the game was worth the $20 I paid for it. :) :) :)

Hey Ambience, I see you all the time counting :)

Anyway, I'll be sure to post back in this thread when I get started on the game. I purchased it a few days ago along with some other games. Right now I'm fighting my way through the first part of Battlezone. With Sharks config and the patch it looks really nice :) Freespace2 is next on my list though and I'll make sure I get back here and let you know what I thought/think.

BTW, I'm a sorry bastige to tell you the truth. I get all these games and never completely finish them. Descent3 was one of them. It came with my SBLive and I like it quite a bit... but never finished it :( I make it about half way through a game and start on the next one and never get back... I really should buckle down and finish Descent3....

I'm the same way usually. Hell, I haven't even finished Diablo II yet, got about halfway through and decided to wait for the expansion. :D

Some I don't care if I finish because I just can't stand the game:

Mech Commander

I doubt I'll ever finish Thief: The Dark Project because it never *clicked* for me.

I loved Dark Reign 2, but didn't have time to play it...I sold it.

I loved Drakkan, but didn't have time to play it....I sold it.

The list goes on and on. I can proudly say that I did finish Freespace 2 though. It was a fun game.
