Any one like EA'S NFS series?

I like driving sim's a lot, EA's mainly, I have been waiting to beta test Motor City but nothing yet I was wondering if anybodys been contacted by EA yet about it. Thanks

HELL YES!

i like nfs2 the best. they messed up nfs2:se because the 3dfx support was so blurry.

i think nfs3/4 are the next best.

hot pursuit is damn fun.

But nothing beats NFS2 split screen with a friend!

Driving down as busses, smacking anything that comes your way.......

not really nfs2......graphics a bit dated now.

NFS 4: yes, hot pursuit is good on that, and i still play it a bit.

I was real good when PU came out,hehe..I tried just the other day online for the first time in ages, got my as kicked!!

never played any racing games bar motocross madness 2 online.

There was a site that let u play nfs2 online but i havent tried it yet.

i wish u ccould use the cheats in LAN games, so everyone could be busses etc.

My favourite map was Outback, then vancouver (pacfic spirit?) actually, all of the maps were pretty good.

In Hot Pursuit, I can't remember the name of the map but it was the one in the desert like setting, that was great for loosing the police. You should try PU online, its really good, only practice before you do!

Ahhhh, Hometown was good too, hangin that sharp curve coming out of the town was fun. Well, I am off to bed now, I guess I will have to throw H.P back in and check it all out again, I like games that you can go back to and still enjoy.

luckily nfs 4 has all the tracks from nfs 3.
but i had to download someones save game to unlock all the tracks for me, as i was too useless to unlock any of them.

Just bought a Microsoft racing wheel last weekend, my arms are tired and I haven't had any sleep playing NFS HS,HP, and Porsche unleashed. Can't stop playing. :o

They all had sucky handling except for the Porsche one... Never liked 1-4 (even though the graphics were pretty)...

Porsche didn't even have the 928 standard in the game, and that sucked...

SE isn't as good, because they changed the music, and added shitty music.
good game, i would like to see a redo of NFS2 with the NFS5 engine, but don't change the music, don't change ANYTHING but the graphics!

Oh yeah. I don't know which number it is but I got High Stakes with my SBLive. Very cool game, except it won't even install on Win2K. Since I'm not dual booting at the moment, I screwed myself out of it. Oh well, formats are never that far off. :)

i competely agree!

nfs2 was the best of the series.
it had the best cars, the best tracks, and it was FUN!

win the nsf5 engine, redone with nfs2 that would rock. as long as they don't do to it what they did to it with the SE...

Out of all the NFS games, I own NFSIII: Hot Pursuit, NFS: High Stakes and NFS: Porsche Unleashed. Porsche is a sweet game and has the most realistic physics. Hot Pursuit is also very nice (especially because there was such great support for user-made add-on cars with that game). High Stakes isn't as good as Hot Pursuit plus High Stakes doesn't have native V5 support (I know there was once a thread on this board explaining how to enable V5 support in High Stakes but it was erased when Slacker changed the boards). I also own the original NFS thanks to a PC Lamer issue that had the game on the CD that came with the fishwrap (fishwrap = magazine/newspaper). There's my opinion. Out!

Back to the topic now, has anyone heard any more about Motor City? For those that have not heard about it, You can really customize your cars, inside and out, buy and sell parts at swap meets, and race you classic baby online...If you loose, you loose your ride, it's suppose to be the best one yet.
