Now this is what I would call a nice preview. No inaccuracies, pointing out it's positive and negative sides.
I object a little against the kyro2-GeForce3 comparisons (a bit awkward to compare a dx7 with a dx8 compliant card) but what the heck don't want to sound to picky on this one.
All cards used where 32mb cards by the way, with the only exception in the anti-aliasing tests they used a 64mb Radeon (as far as I remember).
I know who helped them configure the card and drivers to update the preview, so the minor statement that the upcoming "kyro3" should have pixel shader support, could be a very big possibility.
I know that you can forget anisotropic with the kyro2, but one cannot have everything at top performance and quality with it's price...
I AM JUST A GAMER here are your TC on & TC off results as you like them buddy...... :D
To anyone who will read it, enjoy it. (Well overlook the mispellings and mistakes hehehehe and I thought my english sux0rs :D)

OK, I'll do that. I think I saw him post on OT so I think he made it.
That article was interesting. The "way I read it" it bashed the Kyro fairly hard but ended up saying it was a good card.
Looking at the article I see comparisons between the KryoII and nvidia, but the card really getting slammed in all this is the Radeon.

Sooooo whats this I hear Ail?
You are soon to be a FELLOW Kyro owner? (Kyro II)
well after a VERY BRIEF flirtation with an elsa gladiac GF2 ultra these last few weeks, I must say FOR ME, repeat FOR ME I was WHOLLY unimpressed by the GF card, so I sent that POS back and now have on pre order a Viedologic VividXS direct from VDO themselves.
(I dont give a rats ass anyones opinion on my choice in card and I dont give a rats ass if anyone thinks I made a bad choice sending the Geforce ultra back to stay with the Kyro range of cards, SO SAVE YOUR words, I am niether interested in your opinions nor care, I buy what I like and what works for me, not what others think I should buy, so once again save your opinions) (this is said in a premptive stike of defemse against any Geforce/Radeon fanboys slating me, not that they are bad cards, just NOT the best card for me) /rant over.
sorry for above Ail, just had a vision of some fanboys attacking my decision to stay with powerVR and not keep the geforce.
Now back on topic.......
I see in another thread you said some ppl with i815/solano chipset mobos have trouble/problems with Kyro's?
This is indeed news to me, as I have had this kyro in my abit sa6r HAPPILY for 6 months now and NO PROBLEMS. (unlike the ultra GF recently and GF MX a few months ago)
You wont be dissapointed with the kyro, each new driver release has brought a NOTICIBLE improvment in frame rates, and whats mopre its the most stable and compatible crd I have ever owned, also LOVE the vibrant colour quality.

CK,
I said Anand stated so, not a user or multiple users. Big difference. I sustain a benefit of doubt that Anand could be right because the kyro2 is a redesigned board, the chip passed a die shrink, so it could be a minor flaw from Hercules' side.
It's encouraging though to hear that it worked fine for you on your kyro1.
The Vivid XS will be an excellent choice as there shouldn't be any real difference between a 32mb and a 64mb kyro2. (At least I haven't seen any in any reviews).
As for the GF ultra.... to be honest I was tempted at one point to get a Pro, but as I don't intend to keep the kyro2 for that long, I will give it's Tiling Architecture a shot and have a real-life test of how it actually behaves. I was lucky enough to have a small experience on a kyro1 and I was more than impressed with it. No speed killer, but unbelievably smooth, stable and reliable.
A mediocre guy like me needs a humble little stable gaming card. I'm far beyond bragging rights and childish notions. I paid almost 600$ back when the v2 launched for two of them to SLI them. I would have been ok with just one back then.......Lesson learned.... :D
