It was announced today that nWUSSia once again agreed to yet another contract with yet another big name in the graphics world. This time it's Quantum3D, makers of the really huge 3dfx cards! Hmmm....one can only wonder why this happened  . Discuss! Out!

Don't think we'll be seeing any 24 chip GF3 based stuff though, no sli LOL :D :D
BTW: The last I heard, nVidia was responsible for providing Quantum with VSA100's (nVidia did buy all the chip inventory), I wonder if they have and how many are left. There's probably thousands of chips in thier stock, you'd think that they'd sell them to another third party to make cheap boards with and make a bit of money. They wouldn't have to worry about competing with their own products because A: It IS their product (they own them) and B: A single chip vsa100 wouldn't compete nowadays anyway.
Just a thought ;)

Whats the agreement?
This could be an *ouchithurtstosayit* good thing, if they contract Quantum for maybe providing some driver support, even un official but at least legal. Maybe they are going to make consumer cards again based on 3dfx architecture? Maybe they will be developing the 3dfx tech aspect for nVidia now?
Or they could be agreeing to bury the 3dfx tech legacy and move over to nVidia, heh. P*sser that way, eh?
But hey, let's hope for the best...
I want a Geforce3.
