I am setting my brother's box up for him, I had a quick question, he has 2 20 gig hard drives, hd #1 7200rpm, hd #2 5400 rpm, he wants all his apps on one drive and his OS on the other, does it make any difference which hd gets what?

I suppose it depends on what he finds more intolerable...waiting for Windows to load, or waiting for that DM level to load :)

It depends on the OS, Win2k can really benefit from 7200rpm

Why not just use the 7200 rpm for BOTH OS and Applications... and use the 5400 rpm for the swapfile/pagefile and other stuff.... MP3's and other "data-related" stuff. :D
This way I believe you utilize the drives best. So once you load an application, this can be performed "simultaneously" with swapfile access....
