This just made the news on my site;
"28/04/2001 - Evening Post
3DFX technology is not dead!!!!
In an interview with Hardware Zone, nVidia's Dan Vivoli confirmed that nVidia will be using the 3DFX technology they aquired in their upcoming NV30 chipset - And going by nVidia's 6 month product cycle, that could be available at the end of this year.
He also goes on to say that the Radeon and KryoII are only competition for the Geforce2 MX, which would be why the Radeon p*sses on the GTS's 3DMark 2001 scores, and the KryoII can hold it's own against the Ultra. - Looks like nVidia are still full of it.
So nVidia's PR sucks, but their tech may be getting better.
