View Full Version : The greatest cartoon show ever you watched as a kid?
For me...
Tom & Jerry.
OMG, I've never laughed so hard as when I was a kid, all because of that show. They didn't even have to talk to be funny, just the way Tom was always getting :owned: was funny no matter how many times I watched it.
Also, Donald Duck... No other Disney character even came close to his hilarity.

Er, I don't know. I loved The Real Ghostbusters. I loved TMNT. I loved a series called "Alfred Jodocus Kwak" which was a joint Dutch/German/Japanese (seriously) production and which is still one of the most fascinating and well-written TV-series I've ever seen, touching upon countless serious topics while remaining eminently watchable for kids. I also loved The Tick (later on). And The Simpsons. And Cow & Chicken.
I don't think I can choose...

Eighth Man
It had well written and intelligent/sophisticated scripts. Animation was afaik Japanese and above average.
Mid to late 60's IIRC.
Pre-Edit: Lol, a little bit of googling later .....
http://www.toontracker.com/8thman/8thman.htm
"8th Man, a super android, was empowered with the likeness, memory and courage of a slain police detective, Special Agent Brady. Remade into Tobor the 8th Man by Professor Genius, he resumed the chase for his killer, Saucer Lip, operating out of the Metropolitan International Police Headquarters. Only Chief Fumblethumbs knew his secret identity."
It was better than it sounds ...... he was tortured by the memories of his past life ....... he had the ability (by way of his synthetic flesh) to assume any appearance.
Original Transformers was GREAT in the early seasons. After the movie came out, it lost a bit.

Nah. TMNT was great if you were a kid but looking back I must conclude it's pretty dreadful. It had serious mass-appeal, but there were series that had far better storylines, dialogue and voice-acting. Really, how can anyone above age 10 stand watching a series co-starring a character going "dude" and "awesome" and "cowabunga" all the time?

Star Blazers rocked!
Galaxy Rangers (?) was cool too...I think.
Donald Duck no doubt about it and those newer shows of Donald were good too.
However I absolutely hate Tom and Jerry it would please me so much to see tom eat the fucking mouse Jerry and end the shittiest of shitty show forever.

The adventures of the Galaxy Rangers.
Although I was in high school and beyond at the time of airing, I thought it was great!
but when I was a KID, the best shows on included the SuperFriends, Fat Albert, and Scooby Doo. In other words, cartoons sucked.

Bugs Bunny was great, wasn't it? And Roadrunner (Poor Wile E.)
We'll for reasons of unintetional comedy I would hafta say...
Superfriends
Fantastic 4
Birdman
Johnny Quest
Because they explained every action before they took it and stupid craup like that because that thought a childs imagination wasn't evolved enough to figure anything out for themselves
