I've had popups, but never an adware popup. Now I'm confused though because I cant duplicate it. This was my only window and I linked to R3D from here.... :confused:

Gator is running in the background and it displays some ads in random intervals atleast I think it works that way :/ . Same thing has happended to me before I went away after an adaware cleanup.

Check Hkey_local_machine\software and see if you have a gator.com entry.

If you do... I suggest running the latest version of Spybot and Adware. Make sure to UDPATE spybot first.

Also, check your windows directory for a Downloaded programs folder. In there you will see all your active X componetnts. Right click and check the properties of each one. Remove all that don't belong.

No gator entry :P

I run adaware on a pretty regular basis too. Who knows, it hasn't happened again.
