ok so heres the deal

ever since i bought this new MSI k7n2 delta, i been having some sound issues

i disabled the onboard sound, and am using my Sblive value because to me it sounds better

but anways, down to the cheese:

i noticed since i first got this thing that my mp3's skip... not the whole song, but about half way through it's like it gets "interuped" or something, and skips alittle.. so i thought maybe it was winamp , but strange because winamp for all the years i have used it has NEVER done this to me.., so i reinstalled winamp (version 2 btw) and put on there "maxing skipping" setting in the sound thinggy.. same deal, couldn't figure out why..

but later on today, i went to record on my computer... and everytime i recorded, and played it back, it was totally noisly.. it had all this static, and it would fade in and out, and it basiclaly just sounded like you were yelling into the mic when the mic volume was at 100%.. but it was only at 70 % and i was just talking in it..

so now i for sure its my sound card or some interuption because these two probs were non-existent on my last board.. im tempted to take out the sblive and try the other card but I REALLY want the sblive because the onboard just sounds jizzy to me..

do you guys have any suggestions maybe? irq problems? any sites?

Try moving the Live to another PCI slot?

whatever queerpoch,

yeah I could try moving the pci slot... although i dont really think thats gonna solve much

i couldn't afford an Asus so MSI was a pretty good option for only 100 bucks

Dry ass I know exactly what your problem is .......When you use a new board with the XP's ..... The Sound Blaster Live digital has been know to have this problem..... it jaming stutter for a second or two...

Change to a Audigy and you'll be ok ....

Unfortunatly it happeneds to the Gigabyte boards and a few others......
