Im getting the Cambridge Soundworks FPS 2000 Digital tomorrow or sometime this week, and was wondering what the "digital" port on the back of my Live! Value did.
The first Live! Value cards didn't have this port.
Anyone know what its for? Can i connect my speakers to it or are they for something like cameras or input?

you mean RCA connectors? audio and video share the same connector, identical in every way, but they don't do the same, one does audio, once does visual, look in your manual.

i got mine OEM.
There is front speakers, rear speakers, mic etc on the back and a Digital port as well, exactly the same size as the others, except it is coloured yellow. well all of them are different colors anyway.

ok so i d/l the online manuals.
In the SBLive! Value maunal it sez for digital jack "connect to four point surround digital speakers via minijack-to-DIN cable"
2 questions: what is a "DIN"
2) does it come with the FPS2000 Digital? or do i need to buy seperately
3) where do i get it from?

and what is a "Tandem" Cable from this site: http://csw.creative.com/products/fps2000/specs.asp
Is that what im looking for to connect the speakers to the live! value?

Sorry I didn't read your post earlier. Yes, that is a digital connector (yellow one). When you get your FPS speakers there will be another connector for you to plug in. You'll have 3, front, rear, and digital. There will be an adapter that you'll need to use as well but it's all include in the speaker package so no worries. It's all pretty easy.
I have pretty much the same setup.

I gotta say it does sound nice. When you start looking for speaker placements try to keep them spread out and away from the monitor. I found having my speakers too close the the monitor cause magnetic interference and waveyness on the screen.....

i thought they were magnetically shielded?
I was going to put them directly beside the screen, but i may have to re think that.
If i put them on the shelf behind my screen the front speakers will be a lot lower than the back speakers though.
I hope it arrives today! :)
