According to the latest map of offerings from ATi... The Radeon2 won't be out until September (no big deal).
But what's REALLY interesting, aside from truform technology, is the little blurb in the following link that states
"...AGP 4x enables Dual R200 configurations."

Thats more likely now considering ATI is oursorcing their board making to other companies now.
They wouldn't loose anything if it failed this way because they made their money with the chips.
I do believe ATI uses AFR rather then SLI, but mabee they gave it a workover. Also, I believe the current Raedeon supports maxx technology so there is a remote possibility we could see a Raedeon1 MAXX if they start selling chips.

The Radeon1 has full support for the ATi Maxx technology, but a dual chip Radeon solution would cost a lot. the Radeon2 has a reworked Maxx compatibility.

AFAIK allthough their are chips are scalable neither ATI nor PowerVR has plans on multiple chip sollutions. Could be some surprise though.
Multi is right on the cost of such a card.
Oh and how can digit-life be so sure that the R300 will still be on 0.15u for all it´s versions. In 2002 we will most likely see chips down to 0.13u.
I´ve heard some rumours about a possible R200 MAXX sollution in the past, but they had quite some trouble with AGPx4 compatibilities. There are other far more effective workarounds right now available for them, sadly enough only in the R300 *chuckle*.

ATI is selling chips to board manufacture for OEM use, not for retail. A Dual Radeon would not be attractive to OEMs (except MAYBE if it were the fastest thing out, then only in high end sku's), so ATI will be making it themselves if it is ever made.
