Well, I thought this was over, but I was wrong (it seems). I was reading thru our Discussion Board and found in one thread a link to NVIDIA's site.. Their list of vendors. Guess if Hercules & Guillemot are listed? :) Guess again: NO! They aren't. Mistake? Perhaps, but I doubt it. Go and see for yourself.

The realisatoin that 3dfx killed themselves and NV was not the shooter. But I had strong feelings that Nvidia would have buyed 3fdx with all that raised money had 3dfx not come to them 1st.

NVIDIA have the best graphics cards on the planet right now because they essentially have 3dfx's engineering team. Their business ethics reminds me of rotten.com

I think over all ATI is the best grapic card company bar none.
They make the Radeon for gaming but also it is flawless for dvd's.

When you factor in that graphics goes beyond just gaming then you realize ATI is at the top as of now.

In terms of strict gaming then Nvidia has an edge, but wait for Radeon 2, that edge will no longer be evident, in fact ATI will surpass Nvidia, FOR I have FORSEEN IT!! ;)

ATI an't bad, in fact they are pretty good.
But no company comes close to 3dfx in terms of how PEOPLE, that's GAMERS feel about them.
They are universaly loved.
3dfx don't have to churnch out marketing BS and they are still loved.
I mean, I went to a local Australian forum, and asked them their favourite companies, those who said NVIDIDA had weak, or mild responses, those that said 3dfx were literally FANATICS. Not that fanaticism is a good thing or anything but it just shows 3dfx is the ONLY 3D Card company that took the heart and minds of gamers.
If NVIDIA went down tomorrow, they will be soon forgotten as anothe CORPERATION.
3dfx on the other hand will live on posibly for ever in those who know it, because it was not a mere corperation, it was a dream.
