no video .avi

I dled an .avi and it doesn't play the video it just plays the audio.....it tries to d/l a codec but it doesn't work. I've treid using Real Media Player, Windows Media Player, and Powerdvd but all the same problems any ideas?

Try GSpot to check what codec it is or use BSPlayer to play the .avi file.

i d/led BSPlayer and it said unknown format (Div3) or something along those lines

It has the div3 codec in case the lastest divx codec doesn't work.

Just download the newest official Divx(5.1.1) from www.divx.com

And start using Zoomplayer... it will play anything(mpg, avi, real, quicktime, whatever).
