Its gonna start at 12 technically for peeps who want lunch at Golden Corral. If not then it starts at 130 at my place. This will run the usual noon to midnight schedule. Im posting it in here because the RoxboroLAN.com boards are down again. Anyway, the cover for the whole day is $15 plus ur meal if u eat. Hope to see all the usuals and more there.

I propose this Idea:
The Lan be $15 and it would only be 10 to play. The remaining 5 would go to have a tourny in a gmae that everyone deems worthy!
We could have a single tourny - winner take all
or
A 2 vs. 2 tourney - winner split the pot!

Why the price hike?
Well I felt as though I wasnt charging enough to cover us on costs. We need more tables and what not for the LANs. If anything the price will go down to $10 and you pay for your meal seperately from that. Its like many others have said before at the LANs, "You could go to Palace Pointe, or Gamefrog and pay 3 or 4 times more for the entertainment your getting at teh LANs" I know you dont go to Gamefrog but there are many others who do that also attend my LANs and well if you go there and want to play the 10 hours that we do, that would be $40.
Yeah, but we're already not paying for our meal with the 15$... I just always thought the 10$ was a acceptable cost, especially considering you don't have the overhead that gamefrog would... as in... you don't have to pay for computers, you don't have to pay for power, rent, you don't have employees to pay either... that's why its so much more costly to go to gamefrog.

Yeah we're gonna have Tourneys soon, we're gonna get a trophy made up so people that win the tourney hold the trophy until the next tourney and if they lose they give it up to the winner. Kinda like pro wrestling and what not. Also gonna give out some bottles of Bawls when we get our free cases in.

I might make this LAN might not, I have the time since Swoosh and Blitz(cause you always need a wingman) will be at UNC-G *cough* fixing a computer of a new female freshman there. However I'm short on cash due saving for the Penny Arcade Expo trip (which will be all so worth it). Who knows. I'll probably come help with the setup at least.

I set that rule, generally because I don't cuss, and I can talk junk without cussing just fine so I don't see it as detracting from anything. Also I can't stand n00bs who cuss all the time about anything and everything every other word and can't back it up in the game. My friends also don't cuss (Col_Potatoe, Blitz, Swoosh, Beretta), and prefer to attend a LAN party where they don't have to hear it.
Its a rather bad habit, but lans have always seemed to bring out the worst in my vocabulary... or any of the originals for that matter... i'd never heard bullitt cuss a day in my life before I saw him playing Call of Duty...
Well cussing at LAN's is somewhat common place, I know that. And I'm not gonna jump down someone's throat for doing it. The rule is cause it bothers some of the people who attend it and the party is more enjoyable overall for everyone when people don't. So far it hasn't been a problem and was a general rule at large public parties I've attended in the past.
The rules overall can be summed in one sentence "Be mindful of those at the party with you", so thats what it depends on.

Yeah, he's not coming to another party he messed up what trust I had in him not to do really stupid stuff and I can't watch him and play games at the same time and somehow he gets bored at a LAN party. He told me what he did, I told him he was stupid the risk he was taking. The kids on probation if he'd have gotten caught that had been it, no more mentor program, straight to jail. He wasn't even supposed to go out after 6pm without an adult and he went down to Walmart.
For those that don't know he's in the mentor program. I'll have to find something to do where I can watch him CONSTANTLY. It's a long story with that kid and his background but I was trying to show him you don't need to do stupid stuff or constantly get everyones to have fun (doesn't get much at home) and that while somethings are funny, its not funny if someone else gets hurt or if its illegal. Now I also know he's a thief (which means he ain't staying over at my house or going over to any of my friends houses, as I'm missing a hat I left at my house I was suspicious about before) and would steal from someone whose been completely cool to him.
You can't encourage that kid, he has no sense and will do anything for attention, but he knew better, he knew the deal, and he knew that if does anything illegal and gets caught thats it no more hanging out or going places.
Oh yeah, I'm sorry you guys had to put up with him, I figured he could be cool at a LAN party and he did alright at the first one. Like I said will do anything for attention it seems which I understand considering his background, but he went way over the line.

I remember that night he came over to my house and all night all you heard from bullitt was FUCK YOU COCKMASTER, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT SHIT? I lol'd all night. Cussing always tends to make me chuckle though, usually pretty funny. I will contain myself at the lans though if it makes it more enjoyable for others :bigthumb:
