Felt like raiding the semi-local used DVD shack...

The Summer of Sam
Insomnia
Resevoir Dogs
Blow
Hangman's Curse

~$50 for all of the movies, ive only previously seen SOS and Resevoir Dogs, so I went on a limb with the others, hopefully they're decent.

$10 per used DVD seems like a lot :dunno:

Well, considering if I would've bought the same movies brand new it would've been around $90, its not bad.

€55 for the first 4 new. The last one is not available here it seems. And that shop isn't even the cheapest one, but I chose that one because I buy most of my DVD's in their stores (offline). And I know for fact that Reservoir dogs is to be found for €5-7 in the store, btw. The site is not up to date.

The Summer of Sam -> €10 (http://www.freerecordshop.nl/pages/productview.asp?ProductID=449116)
Insomnia -> €15 (http://www.freerecordshop.be/pages/productview.asp?ProductID=376241)
Resevoir Dogs -> €10 (http://www.freerecordshop.nl/pages/productview.asp?productid=22466)
Blow -> €20 (http://www.freerecordshop.be/pages/productview.asp?productid=120466)
Hangman's Curse -> ?

Not exactly much of a DVD market in this area anyways... its pretty much Wal Mart, Best Buy and.. well, CD Warehouse, where I bought those. They're warranteed anyways and the case's are perfect, might as well have been brand new.

Getting debit card today so I can start buying better tho.

I always thought DVD's were cheaper in the US, but it seems I was mistaken...

So it seems, however the Blockbuster here sells used DVDs for 2/$20US. This week they have a special: 3/$25US. Not too bad, and they have a huge selection.

Just finished Blow, very good movie. I've yet to finish Insomnia as I have failed to stay awake for more than 30 minutes so far, sadly.. that's not to say it sucks, albeit it is quite slow in the beginning... im just tired.

Blow, another one to add to my "Good Ironic Movies" list
So i rate this one:

Blockbuster sucks teh knob :P :lol:

I find new DVD's in K-Mart and other box stores for $5-$10 all the time. The best video rental place in town happens to be a local chain, and they sell used DVD's for up to $10, too, but IMO that's too much to pay for used up beat to shit DVD with finger prints and cup rings all over the thing. I'd only pay that for a used movie if it were pretty damn new.

Other then that, I've had a lot of good luck here, both with movies and music;

You take your chances, but so far, I've ordered a few dozen things from there and never had a problem *knock*knock*

Bah, i suppose this will turn into my "What Stryker watches thread"

Last night I watched:

Suicide Kings
AWESOME movie, great casting job... I loved every moment of it.

:bigthumb::bigthumb:

Then, i watched The Terminal
Very cool movie, I almost cried at the end :P Didnt really have any slow moments considering the entire movie takes place in an airport either, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

One flew over the Cuckoos nest LOVED IT! Nicholson was awesome in this movie.... drool...

Basically, Nicholson, who has been acting lazy and insane while in Jail to get out of work is sent to an Asylum to determine if he actually is. He turns the asylum and the lives of those occupied in it upside down with his lifestyle and personality.
