Is that like "And Justice for All" awesome metallica, or "Some Kind of Monster" we are tired and over the hill metallica?

Do you mean you didn't like it or it actually would not function for you? It wouldn't work for me once, all I did was reboot and then try again and it worked. If you're having a problem still try that and let me know what you think....

By the way thank you to all who actually replied to this thread. I am suprised I have so many views and so little replies. I guess not alot of people cared for the music. I wish they would have told me so I would have been interested to hear the critisism. I was expecting to get alot of negative feedback....

I'm an extreme music critic, so please don't be offended :)

Chasm- Parallel octaves coupled with parallel fifths (base, guitar, on the same note with the vocals one fifth above all moving in the same direction) cause me to die a little bit inside. When it happens, it sticks out like a sore thumb. The "whoa whoa yeah yeah" is really outta place and needs to find a note located in the same key as the rest of the song. Find some way to distinguish the rhythm guitar sound from the bass. Right now, they meld together in the chorus too much. Maybe up the treble for the lead-esque parts in the verses a bit. For the love of god take the "s" off bones.

Solace- The better of the two. Much more crisp and defined. Look up the pronunciation of Solace....sawlus isn't it. The style is really familiar. Like Godsmack perhaps? Other than that, it's pretty good.

It's got potential, but it's just not there yet. I think one mistake bands make is trying to sound like other bands. Sure, Metallica has a proven formula, but its theirs...anyone else doing it is jest a meh. I dunno, can't say that I'd really continue listening. It doesn't grab me enough to say that I could listen to a whole CD. Then again, I can't listen to an entire Godsmack CD either. It's a good start though...just needs work.

Old over the hill Metallica that sounds like everyone else :D

Not that that's a bad thing, just not my thing.

I'll try at home.

I feel ya on the whoa yeah thing.

All very valid and good critiques. Thank you. This is the input I was looking for....

I definately feel the band does sound godsmack-ish on Solace, however I never would have drawn the metallica comparo. I just don't really hear it. Gallahad once again I feel your critique here is definately spot on. good input. BTW this is not my band or any of my music. I just was very curious to hear people's input on this band.

Ok, finally! I heard the first one and the second wouldn't play again.

It really does sound like a more mellow Metallica. But you know I've heard popular groups sound like other popular groups. But then again it was sort of a trend for the sound. I think Metallica may have seen its days... though don't get me wrong! Still a kick ass group!

You can try to tweak it as much as you want, but trying to perfect a sound doesn't really matter much if you listen to the stuff they play on the radio. In fact... the more simple, the more catchy and the more CD's sold. Britney?? Hello?? J. LO???

Linkin Park hit it OUT of the park with their unique vocal/rap style. Very cool and still going strong. (Although they may be one of the only bands who can sell a crap load of CD's using the same music... just diff layouts!)

Anyway, I thought it was pretty good. But I do have to say the only real thing that grabbed my attention was the fact that these are amateur musicians, are they not? Pretty damned good!

yes they are not a signed band..The second one was a better song/example of their talent
