Is it really addicting? Will I be sad when I stop playing? Is there a point to it? IS IT FUN?!?!?!?

Very very very fun and addicting. I have about 200 hours of play time and most of the others have a lot more than that

I started with the Stress Test last year, had about a month break before Open Beta came out then a week before the real deal came out, I'm just now able to pull myself away from it. Its more like a hobbie than an addiction now :P

Yeah at first i would say taht its an addiction but now, not so much, its more of something that i really really really enjoy playing. I am dating someone at the moment and well I can pull myself away of course and go out, but when i get the chance i try to get on Sargeras!

The other guys worded it pretty well: very addicted at first, now I still play it alot and enjoy it more than ever, but I am able to do other things as well (the few times i have other things to do :-/ )

I've lost 2kgs and 2% bodyfat in 3 weeks, i heartily recommend it.... Thanks WoW!

I should sue Blizzard now.

Yes indeed. You play Wow for a while, then when a new game comes out (Like STALKER or something) you take a break, play through that, then come back and enjoy your rest credit. The SCMB group on the Sargeras server has characters at almost every single lvl from 1-52). We have around 62 characters, 22 or so actual people.

I noticed that now since ive taken a break i come back to it more energized and ready to pwn some Gnolls and murlocs, and i trash talk them often, more so that i did when i started, i call them little bitches and tell them they should bring it. Its good times.

its indeed very addicting at first.. maybe for the first month you'll wanta do nothing but play and see what skills you get in the next lvl, or what awesome item you might find at the bottom of that next dungeon.. after that, it starts to wane, you can sit and play an hour to 2 at most and be happy
 Im currently stuck down to maybe half an hour due to having to watch my bro's dog while hes in texas.. and completely fine with it.. getting to catch up on playing the inuyasha game :nana:
as for how long you will play is up to you in total though.. Ive been playing since the last stress, then into the open, and got it the day it released back in nov and been playing since.. still enjoying the game very much too :)

It's never a good thing to start playing a good and helluva big game (do you have the expansion for it?), and then start thinking about buying another good game. I think you won't play bg2 for weeks or even want to play it if you get wow..

yeah it sux, i bought Warhammer40K right before i bought WoW, and havent played Warhammer in quite a while.

im in two minds

in one mind, I buy WOW tonight, it is delievered on friday, i play all weekend

in the other mind...I play Baldur's Gate 2 and never play WOW

I know that most of you are sleeping when I would be playing (except for the weekends).

I just don't know what to do :(

I have only finished the first area of BG 2...

So I could easily put that aside for a while and play WOW instead without losing anything

Well what times would you be playing? I would get on to play with ya whenever I could which would basically be anytime other than between 1:00-11:00 EST (Taking into account my morning classes)

yeah well.. i think i'm gonna buy this game too when it becomes available over here.. if it isn't out of stock.. but the thing is that i've no clue as to who would i play with, i guess you guys are never on when i am on.. i only know the times in GMT so... and also, i guess you guys play on US servers? the ping would probably kill me :( (1m/768kb)

woot, the more the merrier. Oh and only 1 time in my WoW playing experience (for about 30 minutes i believe) was i the only STO member online. There are usually between 3-4 people on always, around 8-10 at peak times. I suppose your time different could be bad, what are you? 15 hours away CSTers in the US? That would mean people playing between 9 PM and 1 AM my time would be noon-3 PM your time?

lol, Ping is not going to kill you in this game... I commonly go over 600 without the slightest problem... (Damn Wireless Internet)

errr? 600? does everyone else agree with you on that it's not a problem? :D

I get around 200-300 consistently and you cant feel it. When i get around 600 i can notice it a bit tho.

The real problem is that EU servers and US/Pacific Servers are seperate as far as some of my EU friends in the Stress Test were saying(they made fake address and identities to play in US Stress Test :P) but if you can choose US servers (might have changed in the last six months) then by all means do so :D

United States was the only option for me anyway, dunno why

The only problem with my ping (600-850) is that it takes a little while for the backpack etc to open
