Seeing how I'm starting my last unread book tomorrow, I need something new to order or lunch breaks will get boring in a hurry...

So far I've read the "Heir of the Empire" trilogy, "Shadows of the Empire", "I, Jedi" and "Specter of the Past" (with "Visions of the Future" being the one I'm starting tomorrow)...

What else is there that's any good and comparable to those, meaning, a long story contained in a single book, or a series (but not more than, say, 3 books, otherwise it may get difficult to get them all. It was already a challenge to get "Heir of the Empire" complete)...

Tales Of The Empire/New Republic are nice collections of short stories, you might want to have a look at them. Otherwise, I think I rather liked the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy by Michael P. Kube-McDowell (starts with Before The Storm). The X-Wing books by Michael Stackpole are pretty good also, though I find Aaron Alston's Wraith Squadron novels (no. 5 of the X-Wing series and beyond; first book is appropriately named Wraith Squadron) more entertaining overall. You don't really need to've read the first four books in the series to start with Wraith Squadron, since those are all about Rogue Squadron so the storylines are only loosely connected. K.W. Jeter's Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy (kicked off by The Mandalorian Armor) is a good choice if you want to read about Boba Fett being a general badass who refuses to die. The Han Solo trilogy (by A.C. Crispin; first book is The Paradise Snare) is worth checking out if you want to find out more about Han's life before ANH; definitely fun to read.

Oh yeah, The Courtship Of Princess Leia (courtesy of Dave Wolverton) is a crazy Star Wars book that you might enjoy for its (not always successful but consistently silly) jokes and sexual innuendo. And also there's rancors. A very oddball EU novel, but I liked it despite myself.

To be honest Mole, I don't remember it being one of my favorites. But it has been so long I can't say for sure.

I thought it was all right, but not that interesting or entertaining. I did appreciate Stackpole's attempt at fixing some of the worse parts of Kevin J. Anderson's Jedi Academy-related bullshit.

I've read Shadows of the Empire

also Bounty Hunters or The Bounty Hunters

a bunch of small stories (5, i think) about the bounty hunters you see on the Executor talking with Darth Vader

I actually like some of the New Jedi Order books. Some are mediocre, but some are pretty dang good. Most of the hardcovers are worth reading.

I'm basically boycotting the NJO series out of principle. I never understood why the Star Wars universe needed the Yuuzhan Vong.

I'm going for this quartet. Those Black Fleet Crisis books are like 300+ pages each, which will keep me busy for quite some time, which is good. And in case the first book doesn't arrive in time, I'm also going to order that Leia one.
