Lucas has hinted that a TV series may be in the works and fortunantly it won't be directed or produced by him. Nothing is confirmed, only that it is highly possible.

The possbilities are endless for doing a TV series. I hope the choose to go the route of something like KoTOR and not connect it with the movies. What do you think about the possibilites?

I think most movie spin off series sucked bawls... I'm not in favour of it...

I've heard something about it being set between RotS and ANH, but I can't say whether that's an unsubstantiated rumour or not.

I seem to remember you being a fan of both the Spiderman and Starship Trooper TV spin-offs...

I'd rather see a Terminator series.

Starship troppers? the animated one?

Make it like Star Trek.

Focus on one star destoryer going around the galaxy...

um, yeah. the star destroyer is an imperial vessel. imperials are the bad guys. there won't be a tv series about the bad guys. they generally can't stay afloat. remember Cartel? neither do i.

The Lucas fans will be appreciative. They will not have to expose their pasty white flesh to the outside world in order to go to the movies.

True, and I also love Clone Wars... But both Starship Troopers and Spiderman are animated series, as is Clone Wars for that matter. And Spiderman is not a movie spin off, but rather a comic adaptation. I was talking about live action series. Stargate, while passable, still lacks proper production design/budget to be anything like a movie. Total Recall was horrible (even though the pilot episode was more than decent).

that version of Spiderman is in fact a movie spin off, you said it yourself that it kinda of connects the two movies...perhaps this will be animated...

The Captain of a Rebel Blockade Runner doesn't sound quite as good does it? :P

I mean, for a space series you gotta have a great ship.

Aka the Enterprise, Voyager, Battlestar Galactica, etc

There's no such ship class as "Blockade Runner". It's a Corellian Corvette, and that one ship ran a blockade, hence its name. How bout one o' them mon calamari battle cruisers? those are pretty badass. and ergonomic.

well it's a classic, and it's the fastest ship in the galaxy, and it looks interesting....
but it certainly aint no Enterprise

Oh is that what those are.
What about those Transports?

All i know is the medical frigate or whatever, the transports, the blockade runner, and how many sorts of calamari ships are there?

To me, Imperial Star Destroyers = ultimate in design.
But how often do they fire their ion cannons? couldn't they own anything with them?

The Redemption is the medical Frigate, the one that gets blown up by the Death Star is the Liberty, and the main ship thats like 10x the size of every other ship, is Home One. That one is teh uber Calamari Cruiser...
There are a shitload of Calamari cruisers, all of them are unique pretty much too, but I can't see modern audiences accepting a show about a bunch of fish men piloting ships in space...

I don't know Star Destroyers usually have Ion Cannons...

Oh and the Falcon could run circles around the Enterprise  mind they wouldn't be able to destroy it...but they sure as hell wouldn't be destoyed by it :P

There's also the Eclipse, but admittedly that's EU so it doesn't quite count. Then again, I'm pretty sure the Victory-class SDs never made it into the films either.

There is something in the works for T.V however it won't go beyond Return of the Jedi the saga ends at that point, it again is going backward to fill in some things. Hopefully it doesn't go this route...

Anyone remember that site that had a really cool starship size comparison where you could even move around the ships to compare them better? It was posted here before...
