i have my sb value live connected to my middle of the road jvc digital receiver.

my puter is off to the right on the far side of the right speaker, so i have to put the balance at 75% towards the left.

when i gets late i put my headphones on, i have a nice pair of sony cdr 380's.

imo, sound quality on a pair of $75 headphones is equivelent to a $500 pair of floor speakers.

sometimes when i put my headphones on, i forget the floor speakers havent been turned of and the next thing i know its 2.00am and the neighbours are bangin on the wall.

Either my Klipsch Promedias or through my DVD player and home theatre speakers.

Some Polk Audio bookshelf speakers wired to my monitor's built-in amp, processed from an AWE64. Sounds pretty damned good too. All on the cheap. ;)

I got my SB AWE64 Gold (my SB Live! got fried somehow) hooked up to a Sony Receiver that pumps my Paradigm bookshelfs and a 10" powered sub. Nice and clean!

Cambridge soundworks 5.1 for the gaming/coding computer...not really fancy on the laptop, just some generic headphones and a generic speaker subwoofer combo.

SB Live! 5.1 connected to a set of DTT3500's and a set of BA Digital Mediatheatres.

The 2.1 bostons kick ass for music, and I can now get all 7.2 speakers connected together to create a complete wall of sound, it's fantastic :)

They work however you want them too. They come in pairs, costing $1,100 US. I have 2 pairs. My center is an actual center speaker, not a floor standing speaker.

I listen to them in... my car! (burned discs are fun.)

Polk audio DB4 component speakers. Hooray for $400 for frickin' 4" speakers!

Polk Audio 6.5" midbass in the kick panels. Forgot the product name...

Polk Audio DB10 10" subwoofer in a sealed box.

Pioneer DEH450 CD deck.

MTX Blue Thunder Pro 754 4 channel amp. 75 RMS to each of the front speaker systems (1 system = a tweeter, midrange, and midbass), 225 RMS to the sub. Louder is better.

All that in a '89 Toyota Pickup. I am a damn magician to get it all in there!!!
