I have gone by myself a few times. It's actually kinda nice and peaceful.

If I did, I'm pretty sure I'd take advantage of myself, and I'm not that kind of girl!

All the time. The wife decided eons ago she no longer wanted to see the movies I took her to. So be it then...

Nowadays I usually go right before work anyways because the theatre I frequent is only like 3 minutes away from where I work. Movie at 8, work at 10. Only 1 trip needed for both. The only drawback is I can't go to movies that are over 2 hours, lol. For those I need to go friday afternoons...

I used to go to the movie by myself all the time before, but now I usually go with my girlfriend, unless its an action/war flick then I usually go by myself.

I like to take a dump in the back of a movie theater. Then wait, till someone sat in it. Hear it squish. That's funny to me.

I went to see Clerks 2 on my own last week, and there were only 3 other people in the theater. Seriously! Apparently Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was packed though... :P

In recent years, all of them, apart from (that I can remember)
-with the wife: The Village, the Aviator, Love Actually (note: vomit!)
-with a girlfriend :naughty: : Sin City (pun not intended), Revenge of the Sith (1 of the 4 times) and Signs
-with a male friend: Transporter 2 and all the BIFFF movies (with Hedon)
-with a bunch of friends: Red Dragon, Bad Santa, Red Eye and Finding Nemo

I used to go a lot by myself when I was finished classes at uni or had a few hours before my next class, since my classes were 1 minute walk from the cinema.

This was normally at 9am, the first screening for the day, and as such there were only 3 people. no screaming babies, i sat right in the middle, it was nice :)

I saw spongebob squarepants by myself, in a cinema full of little kids and their parents

Movies I remeber seeing by myself

Road to Perdition (sp?)
Signs
Day of the dead (one of those zombie movies, the remake of the shopping mall one)

And I watched a bunch more i can't remember.

EDIT: however normally, i can't be bothered going to the cinema. DVD FTW!
my friend's sometimes go at night, but because i have to get up at 5am it's too late for me :(

I always used to idealize this very sort of activity.
One day I got so far as far as the movie theater parkinglot and then, feeling pathetic, called a gentleman friend to watch it with me.

although, I would still like to.
I just need the balls...or er... ovaries to do so.

I can honestly say I've never gone to the movies by myself. I'd have to say 90% off the movies I've seen the past 10 years I went with The Don Makeveli. The last movie I went we had a huge group, we took up a whole row of the theatre. I think we had like 12 or 13 peeps. Good times.

I've been to tons of movies alone. Dollar theater back in the day was fun. Some people don't go to movies alone 'cause it means you have no freinds (?) but who wants to take a friend to 'Buck Porn night? j/k. In addition to this thread, I've had a few guy friends that refused to sit next to me in a theater, even in groups of 3-5. I guess that means you're gay, heh.

yes I really enjoy going by myself sometimes. I should have see Ricky Bobby by myself since my G.F. killed the whole state of mind. Also when I took this date to see "Vanilla Sky" she kept saying "I dont get it", "why did he do that" throughout the whole movie I wanted to put duct tape on her mouth. "shut up and watch the damn movie bitch"

btw, I would watch a movie at Gibbs crib. :) If I could afford a setup like that I would. All the projections I've seen I liked.

Bose makes some awsome stuff :slap:

Having slapped that, I wouldn't buy their speakers, too over priced. But certainly not 'crap' :hmm:

definately over priced, but not when you get them second hand from a guy with even more money than yourself ^__^. Some goofy guy was getting rid of his old Bose speakers to get bigger and better ones I guess, so I got em for a steal. I have 6.1 setup now (dont really see the need for 7.1 yet). I cant wait til I have a PS3 and can watch Blue ray movies in 1080i in there. My projector doesnt support 1080p, tho nothing did at the time when I got it. 1080p projectors are still $10k at the moment, so I wont be getting one anytime soon.
