Agreed. My wife is the biggest Friends fan of them all and even she said this should have been the last season. Lost it's magic a few years back

Yep - instead of actual clever material - they just make one or more of the characters do something stupid. Like Ross and his cousin or Rachel and the lesbian. Dumb dumb dumb...

Seinfeld did the same thing. IMO, the greatest comedy sitcom of all time, but they just plain ran out of material. An entire season of nothing but shows about creating the show. BLaH!! I was glad to see it go, and will be glad when they put this one to rest. It's like trying to watch Joe Montana play for the Cheifs. It's over man, put it to bed!!

I agree that particular Seinfeld season was weak (the weakest of them all...) but after hittin that bottom, it bounced, all those that came after that were awesome, arguably the best of them all... :dunno:

i dont see that happening to friends (which has always sucked), all tv shows start going down from the start, nothing stays interesting after 3 seasons (tops)anymore... Seinfeld made the difference in that it was the only one that bounced back up...

Friends was good in it's day. Not too many shows quite while theire ahead. Cheers even went downhill. Even classics such as All In The Family. Hard to put something like that that's been around for so long down, especialy if your losing both of your top rated shows at the same time (Friends, Frasier) :P :D

And that is why being informed of it coming to its end was the happiest day of my life... well, one of those... moderately happy days...
