What cheeses me off the most is the fact that it has no bearing on the FF series. There are no guns in Final Fantasy, excluding FF7+8 but that is only the villinas. IN this movie they portray the heroes with no fighting of magic abilities, just a bunch of soldiers who get caught up in something big.
I must say it only slightly dissapoints me.
... And where are the crystals????

None of the Final Fantasies are related to any of the other ones. But yet they are. That's the great part of the story, it's about protecting life at all costs. It doesn't matter how they protect it, Square has been belting out excellent plots for the last 10 years and I feel this movie will follow suite. About damn time they got around to making a movie, even if it is animated.

Tonight at 7:25 I get to see it. Hehehe. I can't wait. I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl. In pigtails.

Begin rant.

I'm gonna see it later tonight about 7 or so, so I'll base my real opinion then.

However, from critics views, the plot seems very simple and the script for the characters is supposedly horrible.

Those are critics though and I'll base my own opinion when I see it. It looks good, but I'm not holding my breath, because I used to love FF until they started bringing the futuristic crap in the game with VII and VIII and I've been playin' FF, since the original came out on the NES. If any FF can take the cakes on story it would have to be FF4 (FF2 US) and FF Tactics. Those have the most unbelievable stories of any Final Fantasy and you can't figure out who the last boss is until the very end of the game, which is the way it should be.

End Rant.

I will be joining the ranks of FF fanboys going to see it tonight. Except I got to wait until ten because of school. I agree with Ambience. Square is a story telling machine. I've also been playing all the games since the original NES, they were my introduction to role playing games.

I have dodged all media in regards to this movie, I'm going in completely blind, except for the trailer download. Other than that, I'm fresh the way I like it. I cant wait! Heh heh.

OK Vermillion, I feel a brain fart now. Who WAS the last boss in FF4(2). It's been so long, and it's driving me crazy now. I remember going to the moon. And the dood you thought was the boss was Cecil's brother...I'm stuck.
