Lots of new registrations I've noticed... It says something like 831 members visited the forum today... Yet no new posts from any new members.

The explanation is simple. The registration process is borked. None of the new registrees get their confirmation email, that's why there haven't been any new members since forever. Ask Paleduke, he knows first hand. When he couldn't login anymore, he tried registering a new account but never got the email that would allow him to activate his account...

Imagine if you found out that you where the only real poster on this site and that everyone else still left and actively posting was just a sock puppet of the site owner and that you have been pretty much all alone here for the past five+ years (or since the regulars dropped off and registrations got closed).
