A7N8X Deluxe/9700 Pro Stuttering

Anyone experience this? Happens in all my games to a greater or lesser extent. My 266a with the same card was flawless. I have underclocked, screwed with memory timings, disabled fastwrites/8xAGP/bios vidmem caching, upgraded to newest 1005 BIOS, tried different nfarce (sic) drivers, upped all voltages, etc etc ad nauseum. It's not the powersupply, the rails look great. I've been all over the nforce forums, and it seems to be pretty common. Just wondering if anyone has a quick fix. I'm about ready to get rid of this and go back to trusty old VIA.

A7N8X Deluxe rev2.0, Athlon XP2500+ Barton, Kingston 2x256 PC3200 (dual channel), WD 120GB SE, Samsung 52x24x52, onboard sound/nic, ATI 9700 Pro, WinXP SP1, nfarce2 2.41, cats 3.4

Do me a favor and disable the onboard sound just for shits and giggles. See if maybe that's causing it at all.

Aren't the nforce 2.41 drivers the ones with the bad IDE drivers? You might try going back to the drivers on the nvidia page (2.03 I think). I'm using those drivers with a pretty similar setup and don't experience any stuttering at all. There are directions for removing the 2.41 or 2.43 drivers on the nvidia driver page. Here's the link to the instructions:
http://download.nvidia.com/Windows/n...structions.zip

Hope that helps!

Thanks guys, I've tried both old and new drivers, and i still have stuttering. Not sure, it may even be a memory incompatibility, as I disabled sound in BIOS and still the same thing. Thanks for trying, but it looks like KT333 for me again. :p

RMA the board? Sounds like you've got a bad one...
