Speaking of Star Wars...

...and shopping sprees (see Water Cooler).

This toy store was closing shop and having a major sale. Picked me up 2 figures. After removing the obnoxiously large price tags for the pic because they were on the clear plastic, I discovered their original prices... €11.99 a freaking piece!! No wonder none of them got sold. That's a lot of money for 2 stupid small figures. At €3/piece I just had to take'em, especially the Amidala one because I still didn't have a torn shirt/pokey nipple Amidala figure

There were several ships remaining as well, at €10 a piece. But I already had all of those (apart from the Skyhopper, but that's a dumb one). I easily paid triple that amount for mine, perhaps even more for the Zam Wessell one. I already regret not buying another Naboo and Jedi fighter at €10/piece... I hope the store hasn't closed down completely by next week, cuz I think I'm gonna go for it then...

Only the Anakin speeder is missing from those pics... And a few random movie related toys, like Evil Ash, MJ on the balcony and The A-team van...

ha, cool, i used to have lego models of the xwing, snowspeeder, naboo fighter, droid fighter, some podracers, and maybe 1 or 2 other things.

i actually sold the xwing on ebay for profit after having it a year. Sold the snowspeeder too, the other ones are in a jumble of parts in boxes upstairs somewhere (all i have out now is mindstorms)

HAHAHA! I found it!

http://boards.slackercentral.com/showthread.php?t=33968

(remember, this is not a serious thread, but a parody of a Feelgood thread. I just replaced a few words in the entire post to match the content I added)

It's the Philips 28PW8506...

It's 28inches (duh!), that's 70cm. It's not quite flat. It's slightly rounded. There's a 32 inch version as well (32PW8506)...

But don't even think about using the cinch or s-vhs inputs with that TV. You know my story... Other than that I have no complaints. It's rather good even...

Difficult to say. We use scart here, which carries both component video, composite video and all the usual stereo sound configurations...

Yes, and that is a sort of composite signal. But on one of the bad connections...

Composite itself isn't flawed. Composite through the scart works just fine (every connection on the back of the TV does), it's just the s-vhs and cinch connections on the side that are "broken"...
