Is there anything that can be done...

about the fact that actidentally hitting the back button completely erases a post in the works?

I have a mouse with a back key on the side, sometimes, it bumps the page back simply by touching the mouse. This would be fine on the other boards a frequent because they save the text you were typing...this board does not and it's EXTREMELY frustrating.

I'm not sure how any board could prevent that in the software.

What browser do you use? I've had that problem with IE, but never with Opera or Mozilla. You may want to try one of those if you haven't.

I'm not switching browsers because of a problem with one freakin message board out of the 6-7 I visit I tried opera back in the day and it blew my freakin nuts Besides...I don't wanna lose my google toolbar with built in pop-up blocker heh

Try posting on a phpbb board, type your post out...hit back...hit forward and VIOLA! What you are typing remains even if you're using the dreaded IEEEEEEE. Not so with this board. I'm wondering if it's a problem with vBulletin or just SCMB in general. I couldn't tell you since no one uses vBulletin anymore...or so it seems.

Yep - something to do with caching. I'll look into ti Sir_G, but I doubt there's much I can do if it's built into the code to load pages a certain way.

Ah...you bastard! I installed Firefox and it reset all my Mozilla settings back to default

Heh...I kinda like firefox a bit better, little faster. I still don't like that the browser doesn't cache images and has to load them every time I go to a page.

the best way to prevent that is to whip out notepad and write it down there first. at least if it's gonna be a novel thats a good idea
