Anyone going to see The Mars Volta and System of a Down in August? (Dallas)

I'm thinking about going, if anyone else is gonna go, lemme know... I'd hate to go to a BIG venue like that alone.

You know, it's fine to chose to like Mars Volta, but I do not personally see whats so great about em -- an album that's like 50% ambient noise is cool?

I think Mars Volta are great. Their new album I don't like much, but their first was f*cking awesome! The entire thing is mind-blowing. I do not care much for SOAD, I wish it were the other way around, SOAD opening for TMV. But I still think SOAD are pretty badass, and I will stay for the whole concert.

And, travis, it's gonna be at American Airlines Center on August 11th... 7pm. www.ticketmaster.com has the tickets. Kinda pricy though! $32.50-$45!!

I'm not big on large venues, or non-smoking venues, but I dunno. I wish I was in Dallas when SOAD played the Granada Theater. Their sound kind of sucks if you're not up front and it's non-smoking but at least it's a small venue.
